About Omega Boat Step
Starting in 2017 as a typical family-owned and operated fabrication and machine shop we were successfully doing research and development, rapid prototyping, and other custom parts for several major worldwide companies. We were able to grow at a rapid rate due to our rapid lead times (in some cases as quickly as the next day) which was a game-changer for the companies we serviced that were losing thousands by the hour due to a specific part they needed to continue production. Our mission was simple: do whatever necessary to give our customers the fastest possible turnaround to keep them up and running. In doing that we flourished! The success enabled us to expand and move to a much larger facility and hire many employees. Unfortunately, COVID19 ended up impacting many of those companies and causing them to slow down or lay off employees, and in a few cases, close altogether. At that point, we had to decide to change our business model or lay off nearly our entire workforce. Our employees all had families and mattered to us beyond measure, so a layoff was out of the question.
At the drawing table- we incorporated our biggest passion into our new business model. Bass fishing! We decided to scope out the demand for accessories in that industry. We designed and produced our first prototype of the Omega Triple Step for bass boats at the end of 2019 and since then have been able to grow that product line into multiple universal models, fitting almost every bass boat on the market. We pride ourselves on our “straight out of the box” feature which allows our boat attachments to be used with no modifications. All steps are made in the USA using 100% USA materials. The whole process is done in-house. With no outsourcing from the fabrication all the way to powder coating, every step must pass a rigorous quality check before it goes to the next stage to be completed. We employ some of the best fabricators, engineers, and machinists in East Tennessee to ensure you will be satisfied with any model of our steps when you mount the perfect fit on your rig- whether it’s a brand-new ranger or a 40-year-old bullet!
